This presentation event was organized to share outstanding case studies for preventing jeonse fraud, spread these practices in the field, and further strengthen the housing safety net across Gyeonggi Province.
The event was attended by real estate management officials from cities, counties, and districts in Gyeonggi Province, as well as the "Safety Jeonse Management Team," an on-site prevention organization operated through collaboration among Gyeonggi Province, local governments, and licensed real estate agents.
The performance presentation consisted of outstanding case presentations from 13 cities, counties, and districts that were selected through a preliminary review. The evaluation was based on a total score of 150 points, combining a written assessment of work execution (100 points) and an on-site presentation of exemplary cases (50 points). To ensure fairness, three external experts (including Professor Lee Hyosang of Shinhan University) and one internal committee member participated as judges.
During the awards ceremony, Seongnam City, which received the highest score among the 13 presenting local governments, was honored with the Grand Prize (Institutional Commendation). Seongnam City was selected as the grand prize winner for its proactive project implementation, strong on-site execution, and high level of resident participation in the "2025 Gyeonggi Safety Jeonse Project Performance Presentation."
The cities and districts were divided into A, B, and C groups based on the size of real estate offices and the characteristics of each city. In Group A, Bundang District of Seongnam City was selected as the best, and Jangan District of Suwon City as excellent. In Group B, Paju City received the best award, while Uijeongbu City was recognized as excellent. In Group C, Icheon City was awarded best, and Yeoju City was recognized as excellent. Finally, in Group D, Seongnam City was selected as the best.
The best-performing cities and districts in each group received group-specific incentives (ranging from 3 million to 5 million won) and one individual commendation, while the excellent cities and districts each received an incentive of 3 million won.
