Prosecutors Conduct Additional Search and Seizure at NOI over Alleged Interference in Customs Drug Investigation
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office has conducted an additional search and seizure at the National Office of Investigation (NOI) under the Korean National Police Agency.
According to the Korean National Police Agency on November 12, the JIT executed a search and seizure warrant on November 4 at the office of the Drug and Organized Crime Investigation Division within the NOI.
The JIT is reported to have secured investigation directives and other documents related to the smuggling of methamphetamine by Malaysian suspects.

Previously, in June, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office formed a joint investigation team of about 20 members, including prosecutors, police officers, officials from the National Tax Service, and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), at the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office building. On August 21, the team conducted a search and seizure at the Drug and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the NOI.
