View original imageThis year’s event, themed “Pohang Agriculture Planting Hope, Our Rural Communities Cultivating the Future,” was organized to commemorate Farmers’ Day, reflect on the achievements of Pohang’s agricultural sector, and share the value of urban-rural coexistence.
The event, hosted by the Pohang Agricultural Organizations Council (Chairman Seo Yunseop), was attended by Jang Sangkil, Deputy Mayor of Pohang City, Kim Ilman, Chairman of the Pohang City Council, as well as heads of institutions and social organizations, who encouraged the hard work of farmers and expressed their support for the future of Pohang agriculture.
The festival featured a hope performance to honor the dedication of farmers, commendations for outstanding contributions on Farmers’ Day, a cheerful sports event, a unity celebration, a direct sales and promotional market for agricultural specialties, exhibition and hands-on booths, an agricultural machinery exhibition, and a chrysanthemum flower display. A total of 72 booths were operated, offering a wide array of attractions and experiences.
Chairman Seo Yunseop stated, “I hope this festival further elevates the value of agriculture and the pride of our farmers. Let us all become the driving force behind a happy rural community and the future of innovative growth in Pohang agriculture, through unity and communication.”
