Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on November 12 that the Gwangju Hanwoo Farming Association (led by Seo Myungwon) and farmer Han Sangwoo have been selected as recipients of the Hanwoo category and horticultural crops category, respectively, at the 32nd Gyeonggi Province Farmers and Fishermen Awards.

The awards ceremony was held on November 7 during the Gyeonggi Province Farmers' Day celebration.
The Gwangju Hanwoo Farming Association, which received the award in the Hanwoo category, was recognized for its efforts in developing and distributing a microbial-mixed TMF feed that effectively reduces odors and has excellent sterilization and disinfection effects, thereby creating a rural environment that enables urban-rural coexistence.
In addition, Han Sangwoo, the recipient in the horticultural crops category, was highly praised for his contributions to the development of local agriculture by operating a strawberry experience farm, developing experiential programs linked to school curricula, and actively passing on scientific farming techniques to young local farmers.
