This new service allows citizens to scan the QR code attached to recycling stations with their mobile phones, enabling them to dispose of bulky waste and pay the disposal fee immediately, all without the need for separate membership registration or app installation.
On November 10, Yangju City held a demonstration event at the LH13 Complex in Yangjugoeup, attended by Yangju City Mayor Kang Suhyeon, Gatda Co., Ltd. CEO Ko Jaeseong, representatives of residents, and other stakeholders, officially launching the service.
Mayor Kang Suhyeon stated, "We expect that the AI-based QR code bulky waste disposal service will allow citizens to dispose of household waste more easily and conveniently," and asked for the active participation and use of the service by citizens.
