The Excellent Workplace for Reading Management Certification Program is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It selects companies and institutions that have contributed to fostering a reading culture in the workplace to nurture creative talent, as well as to promoting reading culture within the local community.
Under the vision of 'A Library by Your Side, Seo-gu that Reads,' Seo-gu has been implementing reading-friendly policies centered on three main strategies: creating a reading-friendly environment in the workplace, spreading a reading culture, and expanding community sharing activities.
In particular, Seo-gu has been leading the way in cultivating a reading culture in the workplace and practicing community sharing by operating a variety of programs, including the establishment of smart libraries, the shared bookshelf project 'Bookstore that Reads,' author-invited book concerts, the in-house reading club 'Seo-gu Book Club,' the book playlist 'Introducing the Book of My Life,' the reading quiz 'You Quiz on the Book,' and the Seo-gu Reading Club Festival.
