It served as an opportunity to extend warmth and care to those facing difficulties in the community.
In addition, throughout the planning process, efforts were made to prevent overlapping support between organizations, institutions, and local administrative districts, while volunteer collaboration helped to enhance communication and solidarity within the local community.
The event was supported by the Pocheon City branch of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association, along with project funds from 16 organizations and institutions, and volunteers from 11 organizations and institutions. Sponsorship from local businesses, including Nonghyup Bank Pocheon Branch, Korea Best Environment, Hantangang JC Farm, Esel Co., Ltd., Onaedon Co., Ltd., and Bio Water Co., Ltd., further enriched the spirit of sharing at the event.
The 1,740 boxes of kimchi, each weighing 8 kilograms, prepared by participants at the event, were delivered to neighbors in need throughout the community via the participating organizations and local administrative districts.
Park Kyungsik, Chairman of the Joint Kimchi-Making Promotion Committee, said, "Thanks to the united participation of many organizations, institutions, and volunteers again this year, we could once again feel the power of solidarity in caring for our community. I hope the kimchi we made today will deliver warm encouragement and comfort to those in need. We will continue to do our best to establish a sustainable culture of sharing."
