Why Hold a Major Expo? National Pukyong University Hosts Career Guidance Event for Undeclared Students
Opportunity for School of Liberal Studies Students Without a Declared Major to Choose Their Major
An unusual expo is being held for students who entered university without declaring a major.
National Pukyong University (President Bae Sanghoon) will host the "2025 Second Semester Major Expo" at 11 a.m. on November 11 at the Pukyong Convention Hall.
This expo is the flagship program of National Pukyong University's Major Exploration Week. It was organized for the first time this year to help first-year students in the School of Liberal Studies, who entered without a declared major, as well as other students, explore their aptitudes and career paths and systematically choose their majors.
The expo will feature a total of 57 booths, including 53 booths for academic departments and majors and 4 booths for administrative offices. Current students from each major and major exploration mentors will operate the booths, introducing their majors, providing career counseling, and offering information about academic systems tailored to the students' perspectives.
The major design section will introduce double majors and integrated bachelor's-master's programs, supporting students in designing their own academic paths and exploring a wide range of study options.
Various interactive events will also be held to help students better understand different majors. Introduction videos for each department and major will be shown on screens installed at the venue.
In addition to the Major Expo, National Pukyong University will offer a variety of programs during Major Exploration Week, which runs from November 10 to 14. These include special lectures by alumni and industry experts, open lab research experiences, communication events between departments and students, and one-day classes for creating personalized items.
