The district plans to bring about a meaningful shift in local awareness regarding abuse prevention through staff training, street campaigns, and promotional activities.
First, on November 11, two sessions of “Child Abuse Prevention Education” will be held in the main auditorium of Guro-gu Office for all employees of the district office and its affiliated organizations. The sessions will be led by Song Jaeduk, Director of the Ansan City Child Protection Agency, focusing on the definition and types of child abuse, reporting procedures, and real-life cases.
On November 20 at 5:20 p.m., a street campaign will take place at the TechnoMart Plaza near Sindorim Station. The district office, police, and related organizations will participate, offering activities such as distributing informational materials, providing parenting guidance, and hosting a child abuse prevention quiz. Notably, the event is scheduled during the evening rush hour to maximize public interest and participation.
Additionally, Guro-gu will use various media channels-including the district newsletter, press coverage, and apartment media boards-to promote child abuse prevention. Through these efforts, Guro-gu aims to strengthen a collaborative prevention system between the public and private sectors and to create a safe environment where children are respected.
