A Milestone in Expanding Sports Infrastructure
On November 6, Okseong-myeon in Gumi City successfully held the opening ceremony of the Okseong-myeon Park Golf Course, organized by the Okseong-myeon Sports Association.
Located on the banks of the Nakdong River, the Okseong-myeon Park Golf Course covers approximately 29,139 square meters (about 8,815 pyeong) and is equipped with an 18-hole natural grass course, a management building, convenience facilities, and a parking lot, making it a comprehensive sports and leisure facility.
With a total project cost of 900 million won (350 million won from the provincial government and 550 million won from the city government), this park golf course was established as a result of expanding sports infrastructure to promote citizens' health and leisure activities. It is expected to serve as a venue for unity and communication among local residents in the future.
More than 300 people, including Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho, provincial and city council members, sports association officials, and local residents, attended the event to celebrate the opening of the newly built park golf course.
