Six Ulsan Institutions Participate, 130 Public Officials Reaffirm Commitment to Action

The Audit Office of UNIST (President Park Jongrae), in collaboration with the Board of Audit and Inspection, has joined hands with public institutions in the Ulsan region to promote a culture of proactive administration within the public sector.
Participants sought to foster field-oriented communication and practical administrative innovation through the "On-site Proactive Administration Support Briefing."

View original imageThe "2025 On-site Proactive Administration Support Briefing," held on the morning of the 5th in the main auditorium on the second floor of the university's main building, was attended by approximately 130 executives and employees from UNIST and five public institutions in the Ulsan region: Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service, Korea East-West Power, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Korea National Oil Corporation, and Korea Energy Agency.
This briefing is a program organized by the Board of Audit and Inspection, which visits institutions nationwide to encourage proactive administration among public officials. It is held at institutions selected through a demand survey among those subject to the Act on Public Audit.
Oh Sesuk, Senior Auditor and Director of Proactive Administration at the Board of Audit and Inspection, participated as a lecturer at the event. Auditor Oh explained the overall proactive administration support system, including support and immunity systems, pre-consulting, selection of exemplary public officials, and innovation support-type audits. By focusing on real-life cases, he introduced the challenges and solutions experienced by field practitioners, eliciting empathy and positive responses from the participants.
Lee Kwangwoo, Standing Auditor of UNIST, stated, "This briefing has become a meaningful opportunity for not only UNIST members but also public institutions in the Ulsan region to strengthen their commitment to practicing proactive administration," adding, "We will eradicate passive administration and create a public sector culture that works proactively."
