Jeonbuk Province Accepting Applications for Next Year’s "Livestock Facility Modernization Project" Until the 19th
"Strengthening Competitiveness in the Livestock Industry"
Jeonbuk Province will be accepting applications for the "2026 Livestock Facility Modernization Project" until November 19.
According to the province on November 6, this project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the livestock industry by providing financial support for the construction or renovation of aging livestock facilities and the establishment of smart livestock systems, with the goal of creating a more pleasant and efficient livestock environment.
Eligible applicants include farms and agricultural corporations that have obtained livestock business permits or registrations. New entrants to the industry may also apply if they have at least three years of practical farm experience or have graduated from a livestock-related department.
The support will be provided in the form of 80% loans and 20% self-financing. The interest rate is set at 1% per annum for small and medium-sized farms and 2% per annum for large-scale farms. The repayment terms include a five-year grace period followed by ten years of installment payments.
Supported farms can use the funds to construct or renovate livestock facilities, install environmental improvement systems such as ventilation and temperature/humidity control, and introduce ICT-based smart livestock systems, among other facility upgrades.
Farms wishing to participate in the project must visit the administrative welfare center of the town, township, or district where their livestock facility is located, bringing the application form, business plan, and other required documents.
The province plans to finalize the list of recipients within this month and begin loan disbursement and project implementation starting in January next year.
