A Festival of Youth Culture Filled with Romance and Passion Expected
Suncheon City announced that on November 8, the 2025 Suncheon Daehak-ro Festival, a youth-led event jointly organized by youth activists, Suncheon National University, Jeil University, Cheongam University, youth communities, and international students, will be held on Daehak-ro in front of Suncheon National University.
This festival is designed and operated directly by young people, featuring a lineup of event programs that will bring vibrant energy and creativity to every corner of Daehak-ro, allowing participants to fully enjoy the youthful spirit through lively activities and festivities.
At the "Romantic Stage," a variety of performances will take place, including a Daehak-ro parade, cosplay contest, busking, and DJ party, all capturing the passion of youth and featuring participation from international students and local citizens from diverse backgrounds. In particular, the cosplay contest will award 300,000 won for first place, 200,000 won for second place, and 100,000 won for third place, providing a stage for young people to showcase their individuality and enthusiasm.
In the "Youth Culture Zone," there will be a promotional booth for Suncheon National University, webtoon exhibitions from Jeil University and Cheongam University, as well as booths for youth community participation and youth policy promotion, creating a space for cultural exchange among young people.
Additionally, there will be a flea market selling unique items, as well as food booths offering simple finger foods, pajeon (Korean savory pancakes), fish cakes, and more.

A city official stated, "This festival was planned to transform Daehak-ro into a vibrant youth culture street led by young people," adding, "We hope that this street festival on Suncheon Daehak-ro, where youth and citizens come together, will become a place for young people to fully express their talents in the late autumn."
