Gyeongnam Nonghyup Carries Out Harvest Season Rural Volunteer Activities in Geoje
On November 5, Gyeongnam Nonghyup visited farms in Cheonggok-ri, Sadeung-myeon, Geoje City to support local farmers struggling with labor shortages during the harvest season.
More than 100 people participated in this rural volunteer initiative, including representatives from Muhak, Monggo Food, Geoje Marine Tourism Development Corporation, the NH Nonghyup Geoje Branch, executives and employees of local Nonghyup branches, and members of the Goju-mo Geoje Chapter. They focused their efforts on supporting farmers by assisting with the harvest of yuzu.
Participants worked together in the fields, sweating side by side as they helped with agricultural tasks, and found the experience meaningful as it allowed them to appreciate the value of Korean agriculture and rural communities once again.
