FutureScape is a program jointly organized by Samsung C&T and the Seoul Business Agency to discover startups with outstanding innovative technologies and ideas, provide them with opportunities for market validation, and support their scaling up through business partnerships. The event was attended by representatives from six startups, Samsung C&T executives and employees including Cho Hyejeong, Head of DxP Division (Executive Vice President), affiliates such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung Venture Investment, and Samsung Noble Life, as well as officials from the Seoul Business Agency.
This year, the program is operated in two tracks: the 'Proof Track,' which conducts business validation based on collaboration with Samsung C&T, and the 'Future Track,' which jointly develops collaboration models for early-stage startups with high potential. In the call for applications held in April, more than 280 companies applied, and six companies were selected for each track.
The six startups participating in Demo Day were: 'EasyTask,' which operates an AI freelancer matching platform based on competency data; 'LifeonKorea,' which developed a 3D and VR-based interior digital transformation solution; 'Hi,' which provides health AI services based on digital biomarker technology; 'Phong,' which offers AI-based emotional empathy and personalized psychological counseling; 'Glorang,' which operates a personalized education platform based on AI psychological diagnostic tests; and 'HiLocal,' which provides AI translation and interpretation-based foreign language education services.
Through this program, Samsung C&T is pursuing an open innovation strategy that transcends the traditional boundaries of the construction industry in collaboration with innovative startups. The company provides a proof-of-concept test bed to verify the marketability of collaborative business models and to collect customer feedback. An operational system has been established to support the entire process, from business planning to validation execution and results analysis.
During the event, the results of business model validation were presented. Presentations included the proof-of-concept for a digital emotional care solution conducted at Samsung Noble County, a senior town, and a wellness service that combined AI-based personalized psychological counseling for Samsung C&T employees at headquarters. Results from validations targeting Raemian residents and foreign workers at partner companies using various innovative technologies such as edtech and XR were also disclosed.
At the awards ceremony, HiLocal, which collaborated on an AI-powered safety education solution for foreign workers in the edtech field, received the grand prize.
