Lotte Chilsung Beverage Completely Renews "Soonhari Lemon Gin"
After 4 Years and 6 Months
Featuring Frozen Infusion Method and Zero Sugar
On November 5, Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced that it will completely renew its fruit-flavored carbonated alcoholic beverage, Soonhari Lemon Gin, for the first time in four years and six months since its launch.
Soonhari Lemon Gin, marketed under the concept of a "fruit-flavored carbonated alcoholic beverage infused with whole lemons," has recorded steady annual growth of over 40% since its debut in May 2021. As of the first half of this year, it has achieved a cumulative sales volume of approximately 60 million cans (based on 355ml cans), making it one of Lotte Chilsung Beverage's flagship RTD (Ready-To-Drink) alcoholic products.

View original imageIn response to consumer preferences for "RTD alcoholic beverages that capture the authentic taste and aroma of fruit," Lotte Chilsung Beverage planned this renewal with two main focuses: the frozen infusion method and zero sugar.
The newly introduced frozen infusion method for Soonhari Lemon Gin uses whole lemons that are frozen at ultra-low temperatures and then infused while still frozen, unlike the previous room temperature infusion. This process enhances the lemon flavor to about twice its previous intensity. In line with the zero sugar trend, all three varieties-Soonhari Lemon Gin Zero Nine (launched in 2023), Soonhari Lemon Gin 4.5, and Soonhari Lemon Gin 7.0-are now produced with zero sugar, removing fructose from the recipe. The packaging has also been updated to highlight the core features of Soonhari Lemon Gin, such as whole lemons and the zero sugar label, and to give the brand a friendlier and more vibrant appearance.
