Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, the city completed its urban development plan in March 2023 and has now finalized the designation of the project developer, laying the foundation for future growth as a center of K-Bio.
According to the detailed plan, Mixed-Use Site 1 (18,939 square meters), adjacent to Tancheon Stream and the road, will attract anchor companies to establish a core base for the biohealth cluster. Mixed-Use Site 2 (27,313 square meters) will house small and medium-sized enterprises, R&D centers, C&D platforms, and community facilities for citizens, creating a multi-purpose space for life sciences and medical research and development, business activities, and citizen health experiences.
By designating the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation as the project developer, the city aims to accelerate the project's progress and maximize public interest, making every effort to become a global biohealth innovation hub.
The Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, as the project developer, will begin establishing the implementation plan in November 2025, and will rapidly push forward with the project, aiming for approval and groundbreaking in the first half of next year.
