Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital Appoints Kim Seongho as 24th Director
Leap Forward Through Efficiency, Change, and Innovation
Professor Kim Seongho of the Department of Neurosurgery has been inaugurated as the 24th Director of Soonchunhyang University Gumi Hospital.
The inauguration ceremony was held on the afternoon of November 3 at the Hyangseol Grand Auditorium, with over 100 attendees, including Seo Gyoil, Chairman of the Dong Eun Academy Foundation, Seo Yuseong, Director of the Central Medical Center, key officials, faculty, and staff, who gathered to celebrate the occasion.

View original imageDirector Kim Seongho graduated from the College of Medicine at Soonchunhyang University in 1999 and earned his Ph.D. in medicine from the university's graduate school.
He has contributed to the hospital's development by serving in the Department of Neurosurgery for 17 years, holding key positions such as Head of the Intensive Care Unit, Head of the Surgical Department, and Director of Strategic Planning. He has also been active in medical volunteer work as the head of the Soonchunhyang Medical Volunteer Corps.
Director Kim is the first hospital director to be appointed from among the internal faculty of Gumi Hospital. He is recognized as a "hands-on leader" who deeply understands the hospital's operations and organizational culture, and who listens attentively to staff opinions. During the inauguration ceremony, he received enthusiastic applause from the faculty and staff.
As the youngest director in the history of Gumi Hospital, he is expected to bring new vitality to the hospital by establishing an efficiency- and communication-centered organizational culture, based on leadership that embraces change and innovation.
Director Kim Seongho stated, "I will boldly improve irrational and inefficient practices and lead the hospital's innovation by introducing efficient systems and a culture centered on communication. I will do my utmost to create a patient-centered medical environment together with our medical staff and employees."
