Gyeonggi Province and Provincial Council to Include 400 Billion Won 'Cooperation Budget' in Next Year's Proposal
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Council will allocate a cooperation budget of approximately 400 billion won across five sectors, including local economic recovery and the strengthening of transportation welfare, in next year's budget proposal.
The two institutions have also agreed, centering on the Ruling and Opposition Parties' Cooperation Committee, to prepare improvements to the special adjustment grant system, accelerating cooperation between them.
The 'Ruling and Opposition Parties' Cooperation Committee,' a communication and cooperation body between Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, held the '1st Full Meeting of the Ruling and Opposition Parties' Cooperation Committee for 2025' at the Provincial Council's Yedamchae on the 4th, signing the '2026 Main Budget Cooperation Budget Agreement and Special Adjustment Grant System Improvement Agreement' containing these details.
The agreement states that the two institutions will include a total cooperation budget of 400 billion won in next year's main budget across five sectors: local economic recovery, the creation of a warm welfare environment, the strengthening of transportation welfare, the fostering of innovative industries, and resident safety and prevention projects.
In addition, Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Council agreed to prepare improvements to the special adjustment grant system with the Ruling and Opposition Parties' Cooperation Committee at the center, and to operate the system based on the principle of mutual respect.
