Advisor Lee previously served as Director of the National Situation Room at the Blue House during the Roh Moo-hyun administration and as a member of the 17th, 18th, and 21st National Assembly. He also held the positions of the 35th Governor of Gangwon Province and the 35th Secretary General of the National Assembly.

Advisor Lee is expected to participate directly in Gwangjang's overall social contribution activities. Gwangjang has been actively involved in a variety of social contribution initiatives, including legal support for the protection and resettlement of North Korean defectors and the self-reliance of single mothers. Having previously served as Deputy Director of the private think tank Yeosijae (now Taejae Future Strategy Institute), Advisor Lee is also expected to contribute to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem.
