Shin Dongbin, Chairman of Lotte Group, visited the Lotte Pavilion at the "Japan Mobility Show 2025," which is being held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan on November 3, to review the group's mobility businesses.
The Japan Mobility Show 2025 is one of the world's five largest motor shows and Japan's largest automobile exhibition. The event has expanded beyond traditional finished vehicles to encompass all areas of mobility.

View original imageFollowing its participation in the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province last April, Lotte is now taking part in the "Japan Mobility Show 2025." This marks the first time Lotte has participated in a mobility event held overseas. Seven Lotte affiliates, including Lotte Chemical, Lotte Energy Materials, Lotte Innovate, and Lotte Global Logistics, are participating to showcase Lotte's vision for a future mobility value chain based on eco-friendly energy.
The Lotte Pavilion, themed "L.Mobility Panorama," is divided into the "Mobility Value Chain Exhibition Zone" and the "Mobility Experience Zone," providing a comprehensive overview of the group's mobility businesses, including eco-friendly energy and autonomous driving.
In the exhibition zone, key battery materials and interior and exterior materials for mobility are on display. The zone also features a hydrogen value chain that introduces the energy manufacturing process, as well as videos demonstrating autonomous freight trucks and delivery robots.
The experience zone offers a variety of programs, such as autonomous shuttle experiences using metaverse content, RC car driving experiences with hydrogen trucks and electric vehicle models for children, and a photo zone featuring Lotte Home Shopping’s character Bellygom for visitors.
During a discussion on mobility business, Chairman Shin emphasized, "Securing technological competitiveness is essential for building a sustainable mobility business model," and added, "Please spare no resources in investing in research and development and talent acquisition for the future."
Chairman Shin also visited the exhibition booths of global mobility companies such as Hyundai Motor, Kia, Lexus, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and BYD to gain insights into industry trends. Lotte is striving to explore collaboration opportunities with global companies in areas such as electric vehicle charging and hydrogen, leveraging its capabilities in eco-friendly energy infrastructure.

Earlier, Chairman Shin attended the APEC event held from October 29, where he strengthened his network and discussed future collaboration with heads of state and CEOs of leading global companies, including the President of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, and the CEO of AWS. He then traveled to Tokyo, Japan to participate in the Japan Mobility Show 2025, continuing his on-site management activities to support and review the group's businesses.
