Bucheon City to Open Integrated Operation Center for Crime Prevention, Traffic, and Disaster Next Month
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will open the 'Smart City Integrated Operation Center' next month to ensure the safety of its citizens around the clock.
The center is located in the R&D Comprehensive Center in Chunui-dong, Wonmi-gu, and spans a total area of 4,848 square meters. Approximately 46.1 billion won was invested in the project, which has been carried out in phases over four years and six months since 2021.
The center is an integrated facility that brings together urban management systems such as crime prevention, traffic, and disaster response, which were previously scattered throughout the city. Designed to analyze and respond to various urban data in real time from a single location, it is expected to serve as a key infrastructure for protecting the lives and property of citizens.

In particular, it is anticipated that the center will help prevent incidents and accidents, and minimize damage by securing the golden time through real-time coordination with relevant agencies such as the police (112) and fire department (119) in the event of a disaster.
The Traffic Information Center completed its relocation to the Integrated Operation Center last month, and the Crime Prevention CCTV Integrated Control Center is scheduled to move on the 5th without any interruption of service.
