Strengthening Cooperation with Local Schools and the Korean Education Center
The Wando Office of Education in South Jeolla Province announced on November 3 that it had operated the 'Wando Vietnam Glocal Education Exchange Program' in the Ho Chi Minh City area of Vietnam.
This program, held from October 27 to 31, was designed as an international education exchange activity to help 21 sixth-grade students from elementary schools in island regions within the district experience Vietnamese language and culture firsthand and grow as global citizens.

They also enjoyed traditional games from both countries with students from Nguyen Van Troi Middle School, learning the values of cultural diversity and mutual respect.
This exchange was carried out in close cooperation with the Korean Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City, which enhanced the educational quality of the program. The meeting with Consul Choi Chulho, organized with the support of the Center, became an unforgettable experience for the students.
Consul Choi encouraged the students by saying, "You are young diplomats representing Korea," and advised, "I hope you develop the attitudes of communication and cooperation as global citizens."
The students also explored global career paths through a conversation with Lim Maengsan, president of the Asian Korean Business Association, and gained confidence, saying, "The world is wide, and my potential is great," according to the Wando Office of Education.
On the final day, the students visited Ho Chi Minh Book Street, where they wrote and sent postcards to their "future selves," taking time to reflect on their journey of learning.
