BPA Completes Paving Repairs on Imhang Road at Busan Port New Port
The paving work on the Imhang Road at Busan Port New Port has been completed.
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) announced on November 3 that it has finished the 2025 paving repair work on the Imhang Road at Busan Port New Port, which was carried out to provide a safe driving environment for users of the road.
The Imhang Road is a road that connects the port and its hinterland. In this project, paving repairs were completed on the section from Geonma Samgeori to Ungcheon Bridge at the New Port.
The Imhang Road at New Port, which BPA manages under government commission, is an area where frequent road damage occurs due to heavy traffic from large trailers and other vehicles. To prevent secondary damage caused by road deterioration, BPA conducts regular inspections to identify sections where potholes have formed and carries out maintenance work where necessary.
In addition, considering the high volume of heavy vehicle traffic, BPA used modified asphalt concrete with excellent durability and oil resistance to extend the pavement lifespan and enhance safety.
