Korea Polo Federation Successfully Hosts "2025 Korea-Japan Friendly Match"
The Korea Polo Federation announced on the 3rd that the "2025 Korea-Japan Polo Friendly Match," held at the Korea Polo Club in Jeju Island on the 2nd, concluded successfully.
This event was an international friendly jointly hosted by the Japan Polo Association and the Korea Polo Federation, aiming to expand polo exchanges between the two countries and to enhance the level of polo in Asia.
Taro Otsuka, President of the Japan Polo Association, expressed his hope that this event would further promote sports exchanges between Korea and Japan. Oh Younghun, Governor of Jeju Province, conveyed his gratitude and said he hopes that Jeju will establish itself as a hub for cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges through this event.
The tournament featured two matches: a women's match and the main Korea-Japan match. The women's match ended in a 2-2 draw after a fierce contest, demonstrating the growth potential of women's polo in Asia. In the main match that followed, the national players of both countries delivered a high-level game. From the outset, the match was closely contested with fast-paced play and precise teamwork, and Korea ultimately secured a 3-2 victory over Japan.
