Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, reaffirmed his determination to defend Seoul, a key battleground, on October 31, stating, "Next year's local elections are a second war of national founding and a war over our system."
Attending the Seoul City Party Committee Chairpersons and Elected Officials Workshop at the SETEC Convention Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Jang said, "Just as we achieved the Miracle on the Han River, I ask you to begin this fight so that the miracle of the people-where liberal democracy triumphs-can be realized."

View original imageRegarding the three special prosecutor investigations launched in June-on insurrection, Kim Keonhee, and the Marine Corps-he asserted, "Their momentum is fading," adding, "We have almost emerged from the dark tunnel, and now the Democratic Party is beginning to enter that tunnel of darkness."
Jang emphasized, "Now is the time to achieve the miracle of the people together with the people," and added, "If we unite and fight as one, we will surely prevail in next year's local elections."
Song Eonseok, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized the government and ruling party, saying, "They talk about liberal democracy, but in reality, they completely suppress freedom and ignore equality before the law and the separation of powers." He continued, "Such people must face divine retribution. Simply chanting 'please, please' is not enough. We must ensure they receive certain retribution through votes in the upcoming election."
Bae Hyunjin, head of the Seoul City Party Committee, said, "I have no doubt that Seoul will win and become a pioneer leading the Republic of Korea," and urged, "Let us fight together with one heart until next year to protect Seoul, our capital, and the nation."
