Yeosu City Promotes International Cruise Attraction at "2025 China Port Sales"
Introduction of Tourism Resources Linked to the 2026 World Island Expo
Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province, led by Mayor Chung Kimyung, announced on the 31st that it participated in the "2025 China Port Sales" held in Shanghai, China, for two days starting from the 30th, and carried out marketing activities to attract international cruises.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and brought together major domestic cruise port cities such as Busan, Jeju, Incheon, and Seosan. Six leading global cruise companies, including China's Adora Cruises, MSC, Royal Caribbean, and Costa, as well as 17 local travel agencies, attended the event.

View original imageDuring the event, Yeosu City held one-on-one B2B consultations with representatives from the Chinese cruise industry, focusing on promoting Yeosu Port's excellent infrastructure and tourism resources.
In particular, the city highlighted Yeosu's competitiveness by providing customized explanations for cruise lines and travel agencies, such as the cruise call incentive system. It also actively promoted unique experience content available only in Yeosu, such as introducing the island panoramic tour of the "Seomseom Yeosu-gil-Nangdo Course" in connection with the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.
A city official stated, "Through this Port Sales event, we were able to showcase Yeosu as a port of call with as much diverse appeal as Busan and Jeju to the Chinese cruise industry. We will continue our active efforts to attract more international cruise ships to Yeosu Port in the future."
