1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF Surpasses 100 Billion Won in Net Assets
Hana Asset Management announced on the 30th that the net assets of the '1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF' have surpassed 100 billion won.
The company attributed this growth to a large-scale shift in demand from retirement pension investors who had previously invested in principal-protected products.
The 1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF, which was listed on June 10, exceeded 100 billion won in net assets in just over four months. In comparison, the first-generation S&P500 bond hybrid ETF (with a 30% S&P500 allocation) took more than two years to reach the 100 billion won mark.
The 1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF is considered suitable for retirement pension accounts seeking to actively increase their allocation to the S&P500. According to regulations, if an investor allocates the '1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF' within the 30% safe asset portion of a retirement pension (DC/IRP) account, and the '1Q US S&P500 ETF' within the 70% risk asset portion, up to 85% of the total portfolio can be invested in the S&P500.
The 1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF will pay its first dividend of 54 won per share on November 3, following its listing.
This year, Hana Asset Management completed its four-product US representative index ETF series for pension investors by listing the following: 1Q US S&P500, 1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active, 1Q US Nasdaq100, and 1Q US Nasdaq100 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active.
Kim Taewoo, CEO of Hana Asset Management, introduced the 1Q US S&P500 US Treasury Hybrid 50 Active ETF as "an optimal product for pension investment, as it allows for diversification across the US representative index, US short-term treasuries, and dollar assets with a single investment."
He added, "With the year-end tax settlement season in December approaching, the four types of US representative index ETFs, which are essential for pension investment in tax-saving pension accounts such as personal pension and retirement IRP, will serve as excellent long-term investment solutions."
