Honam's Only 'Gwangju Medi Beauty Industry Expo' Opens on the 30th
City to Showcase Medical, Healthcare, and Beauty Industries
115 Companies to Participate
The '2025 Gwangju Medi Beauty Industry Expo,' the only comprehensive exhibition for the medical, healthcare, and beauty industries in the Honam region, will open in grand style at the Kimdaejung Convention Center for three days from October 30 to November 1.
Hosted by Gwangju City and organized by the Gwangju Tourism Organization, this expo will feature 115 companies across 293 booths, showcasing the latest technologies and innovative products. It is expected to open up new horizons for the regional medi-beauty industry.
The core of this expo is the 'Medical Beauty Industry Joint Pavilion,' where 68 local companies will demonstrate the synergistic convergence of leading medical technologies and beauty products across nine major themes, including optical medical technology, hospital-centered artificial intelligence (AI), biomaterials, senior-friendly products, micro medical robots, and cosmetics. This event also presents the vision of Gwangju as an AI-centered city and outlines the future direction of the healthcare industry.
A variety of specialized programs have been prepared to encourage visitor participation. The 'Seminar Zone' and 'Medi Beauty Stage' will host in-depth information exchanges for industry experts, such as seminars to promote regional medical-bio industry-academia cooperation and lectures on the latest trends and development skills for digital therapeutics. There will also be a range of hands-on events for the public, including functional cosmetics experiences, personalized exercise consultations, and CPR training sessions.
On October 29, Choi Taejo, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Division, stated, "This expo will be a valuable opportunity to help local companies pioneer domestic and international markets and strengthen their global marketing capabilities. We ask for the active interest and participation of citizens in this event, where you can experience both the present and future of the medi-beauty industry."
