On October 29, the city of Ulsan, together with the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority, will conduct a tour of major industrial facilities such as Hyundai Motor Company and the hydrogen combined heat and power plant as part of the 'APEC-linked Invest KOREA Summit 2025' program to promote Ulsan as a leading hydrogen city.
The Invest KOREA Summit is the nation’s highest-level investment promotion (IR) event, attracting more than 2,000 participants including foreign investors, international media, diplomatic envoys, and officials from local governments and free economic zones. This year, it is being held in conjunction with APEC.
The event will feature a total of 300 overseas companies, serving as a platform to highlight Korea’s investment appeal and contribute to the expansion of economic growth drivers.
This year’s industrial tours will take place in four regions nationwide, including Ulsan. In Ulsan, 14 participants-including Tim Yeo, Investment Promotion Ambassador and Chairman of The New Nuclear Watch Institute, as well as representatives from MEIDE GROUP, AmpForceEV, HONGKONG WANHUA SHIP EQUIPMENT, ITO Corporation, and others from 11 companies across six countries, along with foreign journalists-are scheduled to visit.
Prior to the industrial tour, Ulsan will hold a promotional investment roundtable at 11 a.m. in the main conference room on the second floor of City Hall, presided over by Mayor Kim Dookyum.
The industrial tour will begin at 1 p.m., allowing participants to visit the hydrogen combined heat and power plant and observe the hydrogen vehicle production process at Hyundai Motor Company, confirming Ulsan’s status as a leader in the future eco-friendly energy and mobility industries.
Afterward, the group will visit Taehwagang National Garden, the site of the 2028 International Garden Expo, to experience Ulsan’s cultural and environmental attractions.
