Hongcheon County in Gangwon Province (Governor Shin Youngjae) captivated Seoul citizens by participating in the "2025 Car-Free Jamsu Bridge Walking Festival" (subtitled "A Romantic Stroll on Foot"), held at Banpo Hangang Park in Seoul on October 12 and 26. It is recognized as a representative citizen festival, attracting over 1.5 million visitors annually.
With the goal of expanding sales channels for local farms and strengthening connections with urban consumers, Hongcheon County participated in the "Seoul Local Market," a program linked to Seoul’s regular events. There, the county promoted its signature clean agricultural and specialty products directly in the heart of the city.
The event featured seven representative farms: Banong (pine nut rice cakes), Dals Farm (omija syrup), Base Naechon (Hongcheon River soju), Shop Bong Chocolate (bean-to-bar chocolate), Tea & Life (herbal tea), Bambachi Farm (Kkachidolbae pear liquor), and Byulttang Hangwa Haru Nuts (gangjeong rice snacks). Together, they achieved total sales of 18 million won, widely promoting the excellence of Hongcheon’s agricultural and specialty products to urban consumers.
