To embody the meaning of "intergenerational communication from age 0 to 100," children from public childcare centers in Seongnam presented a talent show, while seniors showcased the performance skills they had honed at the Senior Welfare Center in this art festival.
Three teams of children from public childcare centers took the stage, performing Samulnori (21 children), a tea ceremony demonstration (8 children), and a spinning dance (24 children).
Three teams of seniors presented traditional dance (9 people), Hawaiian hula dance (11 people), and a ukulele performance (10 people).
A stage for intergenerational enjoyment and communication was set up, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Celebratory performances included the Seongnam Municipal Traditional Music Orchestra’s percussion performance "Mutapyeong," the invited singer Park Iljun’s "Let’s Have Fun," and electronic violinist Do Eunhye’s trot music, all adding to the festive atmosphere of the art festival.
Shin Sangjin, Mayor of Seongnam, said, "I hope that the Children’s Art Festival with Seniors will help spread an atmosphere of intergenerational communication and sharing of love."
