Sejong City to Offer Special Apartment Allocations for Employees of Relocated and Tenant Companies
Applications Accepted Until November 11
Supporting Housing Stability for Employees
Special housing allocations are being implemented for employees of companies that have relocated to or moved into Sejong City. This system has been in place since 2018 to actively support housing stability for workers and to improve local settlement conditions.
Only employees of companies that completed construction or signed a lease contract after the announcement of the detailed operational standards for special housing allocations for employees of tenant companies (in 2018) are eligible to apply. In the case of special housing allocations for employees of tenant companies, the program targets employees who work at companies in Sejong City and are homeless, residing in Daejeon, Sejong, or Chungnam.
The supply targets are apartment units in the L9 block of the 5-1 living zone in Hapgang-dong, provided by Kyeryong Construction Co., Ltd. and Won Construction Co., Ltd., among others, totaling 424 units. Of these, 8 units have been allocated as special supply for employees of tenant companies.
On October 23, the city posted the special supply announcement for employees of tenant companies on the city hall website, and applications are being accepted in person at the Sejong City Hall Corporate Support Division or by mail until November 11.
The selected recipients (winners and alternates), chosen through qualification screening and a recommendation process, will be announced on the website on November 19.
Kim Hyunki, Director of the Economic and Industrial Bureau, stated, "The special housing allocation for employees of tenant companies is intended to help employees of companies that have relocated to Sejong City settle stably in an environment close to their workplaces. We expect this to have a positive ripple effect not only on attracting companies but also on the local economy."
