With 92 members, the group has produced a total of 864 wooden items-including storage boxes, desks, shelves, food service tables, dining tables, bookshelves, shoe racks, and dressers-and delivered them to child welfare facilities, local community centers, and underprivileged households. In 2022, the group signed a business agreement with 18 local children's centers, pledging to regularly provide wooden products and support children's dreams and hopes through the production and delivery of these items.
At the event, the Wooden Craft Volunteer Group donated 50 custom-made wheelchair meal trays to help people with physical disabilities dine more comfortably and conveniently.
The delivery ceremony was held in conjunction with the opening of the newly remodeled workshop for the Wooden Craft Volunteer Group. To ensure that volunteers can create wooden products for the local community in a pleasant environment throughout all four seasons, the workshop was equipped with new heating and cooling systems, a dust collector, and underwent comprehensive interior renovations and partition installations, which are expected to significantly increase volunteer satisfaction.
Kim Gihyeon, head of the Wooden Craft Volunteer Group, said, "It is very meaningful for our members to share their talents with our neighbors in the community. We will continue to support local children and vulnerable groups so they can have hope, and we will strive to help even more neighbors in the future."
