Samsung Electronics Becomes First in Industry to Equip TVs and Monitors with Perplexity
Following MS Copilot, Now Introducing Perplexity
"Delivering a Personalized 'Tailored AI Screen' Experience"
Samsung Electronics announced on October 22 that it has become the first in the industry to equip its TVs and monitors with the generative artificial intelligence (AI) 'Perplexity'. The models featuring this technology include the 2025 Micro RGB, Neo QLED (Neo Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode), QLED, OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), The Frame TVs, and the 2025 M7, M8, and M9 monitors.
Perplexity is an AI-powered search engine that gathers and analyzes information from reliable sources to provide in-depth answers and suggest follow-up questions. For example, it can offer optimal responses tailored to user inquiries on a wide range of topics, such as movie recommendations, travel planning, sports results, and corporate performance analysis.

View original imageUsers can easily access the Perplexity app by launching the 'Vision AI Companion' from the Apps tab on the TV or monitor screen, or by pressing the AI button on the remote control. Owners of Samsung TVs and monitors equipped with Perplexity will receive a complimentary 12-month subscription to 'Perplexity Pro'. Samsung Electronics also plans to include Perplexity in its 2023 and 2024 TVs and monitors through an operating system (OS) update within this year.
Ahn Heeyoung, Executive Director of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, "By being the first in the industry to integrate Perplexity, we are able to provide a more special and personalized AI screen experience," adding, "We expect that our partnership with Perplexity will allow users to utilize large screens in new and meaningful ways."
Ryan Puti, Executive Director of Business Development at Perplexity, commented, "Our mission is to resolve users' curiosity by combining innovative AI-based interfaces with traditional search methods," and added, "We are delighted to bring Perplexity to Samsung device users worldwide through our collaboration with Samsung, the world's number one TV brand."

In line with this vision, Samsung introduced Microsoft's 'Copilot' to its 2025 TVs and monitors in August, and has now added Perplexity as well.
