Building on the foundation established as a lifelong learning city through last year’s inaugural festival, the county will present a comprehensive program this year that combines performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences, aiming to create a festival with broad participation from all residents.
The theme of this year’s festival is "Learning Deepens as We Swim Upstream," with approximately 400 participants from lifelong learning partner organizations, groups, clubs, and local residents showcasing a variety of programs.
During the festival, there will be 23 booths featuring lifelong learning club performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of experiences and promotional booths, including those focused on culture, local food, creative activities, physical activities, and institutional promotions.
Additionally, side events such as a stamp tour, social media certification events, and an exhibition of lifelong learning works will take place, making it an interactive festival that people of all ages can enjoy.
Notably, at 11 a.m. on October 25, a large-scale parade featuring lifelong learning organizations and clubs will be held, followed by a flash mob performance to further energize the atmosphere. For safety reasons, booth operations will be temporarily suspended during the parade.
This year, a new 7-meter-high climbing experience zone will be installed as a signature attraction of the festival. It will be open throughout the event, and anyone can participate by following on-site instructions.
Yangyang County expects that visitors will experience the joy and importance of lifelong learning firsthand through various activities, and that the synergy created by linking with the Salmon Festival will help spread the local learning community and strengthen the county’s status as a lifelong learning city.
