GS Construction's Maple Jai Wins Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at Korea Landscape Awards
Design Competitiveness Recognized with Maple Tree-Inspired Landscape
"Achievement of Landscape Design Established by Rebranded Xi"
GS Construction announced on October 20 that it received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at the 15th Korea Landscape Awards in 2025 for its Maple Jai project.
The Korea Landscape Awards is an event co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Environmental Landscape Development Foundation. The awards aim to discover outstanding landscape spaces that provide pleasant living environments for cities and communities and enhance quality of life. The selection process consists of three stages: a first-round document review, a second-round on-site evaluation, and a third-round public participation assessment. It is considered the largest awards ceremony in the domestic landscape architecture sector.
The Maple Jai project by GS Construction, which received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award at the Korea Landscape Awards, presented a distinctive landscape design inspired by maple trees even before its reconstruction. Completed by GS Construction in 2025 and supplied in Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, Maple Jai is a large-scale complex with a total of 3,307 households.
A GS Construction representative stated, "Winning at the Korea Landscape Awards is a result that reflects the direction and substance of the newly established landscape design by Xi after its rebranding," adding, "We will continue to showcase designs that embody the unique philosophy and standards of Xi."
