Min Hyungbae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Gwangsan-eul in Gwangju, reaffirmed his reputation as a truly "hardworking lawmaker" by receiving the "Speaker's Commendation Plaque" at the 22nd anniversary ceremony of the National Assembly Budget Office held on October 15, 2025.
Min was honored for his outstanding contributions to strengthening the National Assembly's legislative support functions by actively utilizing the National Assembly Budget Office's in-depth analytical reports during key legislative activities, including the National Assembly audit and budget settlement reviews.
With this award, Min has achieved the remarkable feat of receiving an award from the National Assembly for four consecutive years from 2022 to 2025. He was named the "Best Lawmaker in the Use of Parliamentary Legal Information Responses" by the National Assembly Library in 2022, the "Best Lawmaker in the Use of the Electronic Library" by the National Assembly Library in 2023, and the "Outstanding Lawmaker in Legislative Research Responses" by the National Assembly Research Service in 2024. Now, in 2025, he has received the "Speaker's Commendation Plaque" from the National Assembly Budget Office, setting a record of winning National Assembly awards for four consecutive years.
Min stated, "An award from the National Assembly is proof of diligent legislative work," and added, "It is the duty of the National Assembly to fully utilize the expertise of legislative support agencies through requests for data and inquiries."
He continued, "The expertise accumulated by various legislative support agencies, including the National Assembly Budget Office, is a valuable asset to the Korean parliament. I will continue to elevate the quality of legislative activities through meticulous, evidence- and data-based policymaking."
