It aims to provide citizens with guidance on preventing jeonse fraud and the procedures for mediating lease disputes.
Consultations will be conducted sequentially through both advance registration (online and by phone) and on-site registration. In addition, at 1 p.m. on October 22, a special lecture focusing on case studies of lease dispute mediation will be held for students.
At the consultation booth, practical information will be provided to prevent damage, including a checklist for tenants, types of "Kkangtong Jeonse" (jeonse with low collateral value) and how to identify them, and guidelines for safe jeonse practices. The booth will also offer consultations on lease dispute mediation cases and solutions that may arise at the expiration of jeonse contracts.
Shin Sangjin, Mayor of Seongnam, stated, "Jeonse fraud is not simply a matter of personal misfortune, but rather a social disaster. I hope this consultation booth will serve as a safety net for citizens to prevent such incidents in advance. In particular, we will strengthen on-site education and consultation to ensure that young adults entering society are not victimized during their first housing contracts."
