Chairman Choi, along with Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics; Chung Euisun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; Koo Kwang-mo, chairman of LG Group; and Kim Dong-kwan, vice chairman of Hanwha, will gather at U.S. President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida at the invitation of Masayoshi Son, chairman of SoftBank.
Within and outside the business community, there are expectations that Chairman Choi and others will discuss cooperation on the large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure project "Stargate" with Chairman Son. Additionally, as the timing of the business leaders' visit to the United States overlaps with that of the government officials involved in tariff negotiations, there are also observations that they will provide support for the government's efforts.
