Korea Citibank System Outage Resolved: "Transactions Now Processing Normally"
On October 16, Citibank Korea experienced a system outage that lasted for about six hours, but operations have now returned to normal.
At approximately 2:58 p.m. on the same day, Citibank Korea announced, "The system issue has been resolved, and both branch and online transactions are now operating normally."
Citibank Korea detected the system failure at the start of business hours that day, and as a result, certain services such as transfers and loans were restricted for about six hours.
A Citibank Korea representative stated, "Some banking transactions were suspended due to the system failure, but recovery has been completed and all transactions are now being processed normally."
