"Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Just Got Better"... Yongsan-gu to Open "Yongmaru Forest Trail Festival" on the 24th
Flea Market and Healing Classes to Be Offered
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Heeyoung), will host the “Yongmaru Forest Trail Festival” for a total of nine days, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from October 24 to November 9. The festival will take place from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yongmaru-gil commercial district (near Exit 6 of Hyochang Park Station) and the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail (from the Lawn Plaza to Baekbeomgyo section).
The “Yongmaru Forest Trail Festival” is part of a local brand development project aimed at revitalizing the local commercial district. The Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, decorated with chrysanthemums, will feature a variety of hands-on programs open to people of all ages, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the deepening autumn season.
Main programs include participatory cultural and arts activities (such as busking and experience booths), a flea market, and events linked to the local commercial district. Every weekend at 2:30 PM, healing classes such as yoga, pilates, and singing bowl meditation will be held. From 1:30 PM, there will be performances by a Korean traditional music ensemble and singer-songwriters, followed by family-friendly shows such as bubble shows, magic shows, and balloon shows at 4:30 PM.
Near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, more than 20 booths run by small business owners will showcase unique products including handmade crafts and eco-friendly goods. During the festival, visitors who present a receipt from a store within the commercial district or from the flea market can participate in experience booths such as caricature drawing, face painting, and calligraphy. Additional benefits include a roulette event, stamp tour, and anchor store product exchanges.
