Arts Council Korea Recruits Participants for Advanced Training in Arts & Culture Sponsorship Intermediary Program
The Arts Council Korea (ARKO) announced on October 15 that it is recruiting participants for the advanced training course of the 2025 Arts & Culture Sponsorship Intermediary Specialist Training Program, "Artners Club Season 6."
Artners Club is a training program for sponsorship intermediaries that connects donors with artists and arts organizations to promote arts and culture sponsorship. The program began in 2020 and marks its sixth year in 2025. The full curriculum consists of introductory training, advanced training, and Artners Day.
The introductory training provides a basic understanding of arts and culture sponsorship intermediation, while the advanced training offers personalized project planning and sector-specific consulting for each participant. Artners Day serves as a networking event where graduates can continuously share information.
This year's advanced training will be delivered in-person in different regions, offering tailored project planning and sector-specific consulting for each participant. The program will be held in three regions nationwide: Gyeongsang region (November 10 at Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center), Jeolla & Jeju region (November 14 at Gwangju Cultural Foundation), and Seoul Metropolitan Area, Chungcheong, & Gangwon region (November 20 at KT&G Sangsang Planet). Each region will recruit 40 participants. The Arts Council aims to use this regional advanced training to move beyond the Seoul-centric approach, establish a foundation for cultivating local arts and culture sponsorship intermediaries, and contribute to discovering regional talent.
An ARKO representative stated, "This year's advanced training is particularly meaningful as we are visiting three regions across the country to provide practical consulting tailored to each participant's environment and capabilities. We aim to foster a regional arts and culture sponsorship ecosystem and support the sustainable growth of local arts and culture by nurturing field-oriented professional sponsorship intermediaries."
