Daegu’s 77 Traditional Markets: Spend 50,000 Won and Receive a 10,000 Won Gift Certificate... Up to 30% Discount on Onnuri Gift Certificates
From October 15 to 31, Daegu City will hold the "Traditional Market Vitality UP! Consumption UP! Special Customer Appreciation Event" at 77 traditional markets across Daegu.
This event has been organized to revitalize traditional markets and ease the burden of grocery shopping for citizens, specifically targeting the period when sales typically drop significantly after the holiday season.
The event will take place over two days at each market. Customers who present receipts totaling at least 30,000 won on the same day will receive either instant noodles or kitchen towels, while those who spend at least 50,000 won will be given a 10,000 won Onnuri gift certificate on a first-come, first-served basis. Detailed event schedules for each market can be found on the Daegu City website or the Daegu Traditional Market Promotion Foundation blog.
The Onnuri gift certificate payment discount promotion on the "Daeguro" app, which ended early in September due to overwhelming public response, will also resume on October 20.
During the event period, customers can receive an instant 20% discount (up to 10,000 won) when paying with Onnuri gift certificates, and with an additional 10% recharge discount for digital Onnuri gift certificates, they can enjoy up to 30% in total discounts.
Following this traditional market appreciation event, Daegu City also plans to hold another customer appreciation event from November 3 to 9 at 73 local commercial districts, where customers who spend at least 10,000 won will receive daily necessities as gifts.
