Leading the Way in Realizing Corporate Social Value
BNK Kyongnam Bank is actively supporting humanitarian projects led by the Korean Red Cross, taking the lead in realizing corporate social value.
On October 14, BNK Kyongnam Bank became the first company in Gyeongnam Province to join the Korean Red Cross 'Red Cross Honors Company 1 Billion Club'.
The Red Cross Honors Company is a large-scale donation certification program provided by the Korean Red Cross. It serves as a sharing platform, enabling companies to create and share social value with vulnerable groups in society through humanitarian efforts.
Kim Taehan, President of BNK Kyongnam Bank, received the Red Cross Honors Company 1 Billion Club plaque from Park Heesoon, President of the Gyeongnam Chapter of the Korean Red Cross, who visited the bank's headquarters.
Since 2001, BNK Kyongnam Bank has supported the Korean Red Cross through special membership fees, donations for fire and wildfire relief, charity walk contributions, and funding for meal vehicle production, with cumulative donations surpassing 1 billion won.
Companies that join the 1 Billion Club receive various benefits, including being listed in the Gyeongnam Chapter Hall of Fame, being awarded the Red Cross Member Merit Medal, and opportunities to participate in the member company network.
Previously, in October 2022, BNK Kyongnam Bank also joined the 'Red Cross Honors Company 500 Million Club' after its cumulative donations to the Korean Red Cross exceeded 500 million won.
President Kim Taehan stated, "I am grateful that BNK Kyongnam Bank's social contribution projects and activities to share social value have led to the meaningful achievement of becoming the first company in Gyeongnam Province to join the Red Cross Honors Company 1 Billion Club. As a reliable partner working with the local community, BNK Kyongnam Bank will continue to do its best to bring hope and love to the region."
Meanwhile, in August, BNK Kyongnam Bank donated 100 million won in heavy rain relief funds and volunteer uniforms worth 30 million won to the Gyeongnam Chapter of the Korean Red Cross.
