Jung Sungil of "The Glory" Divorces After Nine Years of Marriage
Agency: “A Mutual Decision, Not Due to Fault”
Actor Jung Sungil has divorced his spouse after nine years of marriage.
On October 14, his agency Xyz Studio announced, "Jung Sungil has decided to end his marriage after much careful consideration with his spouse over a long period of time," adding, "This was a mutual decision and not due to any fault on either side."
The agency further stated, "Although their legal relationship has ended, they support each other's separate paths and are both sincerely committed to doing their best in raising their child together."
Jung Sungil married in 2016 and has one son. He previously revealed on a television program that he met his wife in his early twenties through a friend, maintained a long-distance relationship for three years while studying in the United States, broke up, and then reunited and married three months later.
Jung Sungil made his debut in the 2002 film "H" and was mainly active on theater and musical stages. He later expanded his career by appearing in films such as "Blood of Police Officer," "Jeon, Ran," and dramas including "Stranger 2" and "The Uncanny Counter."

In 2022, he gained widespread popularity for his role as Ha Doyoung, the husband of school violence perpetrator Park Yeonjin (played by Lim Jiyeon), in the Netflix series "The Glory." This year, he appeared in the Disney+ drama "Trigger" and the film "Murderer Report." He is also set to appear as Chief Secretary Cheon Seokjung in "Made in Korea," which is scheduled for release in the second half of the year.
