Middle School Student Swept Away by Rapid Current in Jungnangcheon, Uijeongbu... Search Underway
On the afternoon of October 13, a middle school student was swept away by rising water in Jungnangcheon, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, and went missing. Police and fire authorities have launched a search operation.
According to police and fire authorities, at approximately 5:34 p.m. on this day, a report was received that three middle school students were stranded on stepping stones in Jungnangcheon, Uijeongbu-dong, Uijeongbu.
It was later found that one of them was swept away by the water and carried downstream.
The fire authorities rescued two of the students and are continuing search efforts to locate the missing student. However, the search is facing difficulties due to the rising water level caused by rain.
