Recommendations from policy financial institutions (24.9%) were also identified as a major channel. The main reasons for applying for the system were "utilizing financial support benefits" and "strengthening competitiveness through management innovation."
Regarding the effectiveness of the MainBiz Certification System, 65.5% of companies evaluated it as "beneficial to management." They reported experiencing positive effects in areas such as improving corporate image, enhancing competitiveness, and participating in the government procurement market. However, support for overseas exports and marketing expansion were identified as areas needing improvement.
More than half of the respondents said they were "aware" of the MainBiz preferential support system. These companies mainly utilized financial support, government and local government assistance, and preferential treatment for national and customs taxes. Notably, over 60% of companies expressed their intention to utilize financial support programs, indicating high interest.
The satisfaction rate with the preferential support system was 60.9%. By industry, satisfaction was relatively higher in the wholesale/retail and construction sectors. The most frequently requested improvement was the expansion of financial support (54.2%). This was followed by calls for strengthened tax and research & development (R&D) support, simplification of administrative procedures, and improved accessibility to the system.
Based on the survey results, the MainBiz Association proposed four directions to establish the MainBiz system as a growth platform for innovative SMEs: strengthening the promotional system based on inter-agency cooperation, expanding demand-based preferential support, providing differentiated incentives, and implementing legal and institutional improvements.
