On October 4, President Lee, together with First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, appeared in traditional Hanbok attire and delivered a 1 minute and 30 second Chuseok message through KTV. Beginning his message with, "Dear citizens, and beloved compatriots abroad. It is Chuseok, the grandest holiday of our people. Are you spending a warm and joyful time with your family, relatives, and neighbors?" President Lee continued, "The sweltering summer has passed, and Chuseok has come upon us. Although Chuseok is a time to wish for abundance and dream of hope for tomorrow, it is difficult to share only joy when the hardships of daily life remain significant."

President Lee further emphasized, "I will spare no effort to ensure that our industries and country can grow and leap forward once again," and added, "Because of the united will and aspirations of our people for a better tomorrow, I am confident that we can overcome any challenge."

Additionally, First Lady Kim Hye-kyung said, "Just as the saying goes, 'May every day be as abundant as Chuseok,' I sincerely wish that, like the full moon shining equally on all of us, your homes will be filled with health and happiness."

The president and the first lady concluded the video by saying "Thank you" in unison, bowing deeply, and ending their message.
