Upbit Successfully Concludes 'UP Class' Digital Asset Education Program for Young People
The digital asset education program 'UP Class,' which brought together over 1,500 young people nationwide, has concluded successfully.
Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced on October 2 that it has successfully completed the digital asset education program 'UP Class' for young people in their 20s and 30s.
UP Class is a customized education program launched by Dunamu as part of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives to enhance the public’s understanding of digital assets. In the first half of this year, it was introduced for the first time as 'Challenge! Financial Golden Bell' for seniors aged 50 and above, in partnership with the Financial Supervisory Service. In the second half, the curriculum was expanded for younger participants to include not only digital assets but also artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain.
During September, a total of seven UP Class sessions for people in their 20s and 30s were held, attracting about 1,500 young participants. Starting with 'UDC 2025,' the program toured five major universities nationwide-POSTECH, KAIST, Chosun University, Pukyong National University, and Kangwon National University-before concluding its journey at SJ Kunsthalle in Seoul.
The 2030 UP Class featured speakers such as Goran, an economic journalist and CEO of the YouTube channel 'Algoran'; Dr. Jang Dongseon, neuroscientist and author of 'How AI Changes the World'; and Lee Eunjung, manager at Dunamu.
Goran delivered a lecture titled 'The Past and Present of Digital Assets Through Bitcoin,' exploring the evolution from gold and the dollar to Bitcoin and stablecoins, and discussed the future of digital assets. Lee Eunjung led the 'Personal Investment Tendency Test: UP-BTI' session, matching individual investment tendencies with various Upbit services, adding a unique element to the program. Dr. Jang Dongseon took the stage with a lecture on 'The Future of Blockchain and AI That Young People Should Focus On,' providing insights for young people to navigate the major transformations driven by AI and blockchain, drawing significant attention.
In particular, at the UP Class sessions held at KAIST and Kunsthalle, a quiz event was held on Dunamu’s proprietary blockchain 'GIWA (Global Infrastructure for Web3 Access),' which received enthusiastic responses from participants.
Participant satisfaction was also high. 89% of attendees rated the program as "distinct from existing financial education programs," and 86% said "the content was practically helpful."
